Recognise the signs
When the time comes to replace the cartridge in your LifeSaver water purifier, you will notice a reduction flow rate and it will become harder to pump water through. This is a sign that the patented FailSafe Technology is doing it's job, preventing you from accidentally drinking contaminated water.
Filter Capability will vary depending on where you are
All our products specify how many litres of water we expect you to be able to filter with one cartridge but these figures depend on the water you are filtering. Fast-moving water from a clear mountain stream will have fewer contaminants than a stagnant pond and, while we always recommend you source running water, you may not have a choice, especially if you're exploring an area subject to drought. LifeSaver filters will always purify the water for you but, if a lot of fine silt and sediment are present, the life of the filter will reduce. To get the maximum from your purifier, always use any pre-filter devices supplied.
Carry a Spare
We stock replacement cartridges for all our products so you never need to be caught out. Many are available as a foil wrapped option so, if you don't need to use it straight away you can be confident that when you do, it will still be fresh and ready to go. Foil wrapped cartridges will last at least ten years.
