DELIVERY TIMES

All our products are shipped directly from our UK factory. We aim to process and dispatch within 3-5 working days - depending on weekends and public holidays. All products are sent by Express DHL delivery and should arrive within 5-10 working days from dispatch.

Who will be shipping my goods?

We use couriers for both domestic and international shipments. For shipments outside the UK, allow time for goods to clear customs. Couriers are unable to deliver to PO Box numbers, so please provide us with a physical address.

Will there be an extra charge for shipping to a remote area?

In the unlikely event that remote area delivery charges are incurred, you will be contacted for the additional payment before dispatch.

Who is responsible for local duty and tax costs?

Duties and taxes are included in the prices you see listed on our website. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

I need my goods redirected, but I am unable to do this via the courier. Can you help?

We would advise that you contact our customer service department at info@iconlifesaver.com. Please include your order number and an alternative delivery address.

What happens to my goods if I am not in when delivery is attempted?

If you are out when the courier calls, they will leave a card with contact details for you to arrange a convenient time for re-delivery. The courier will only attempt delivery three times before goods are returned to us. If you fail to arrange a suitable re-delivery before the goods are returned, we will charge an additional shipping charge to resend the goods.

Sometimes it is worth meeting your hero...

Hi, the hero in this case was a portable LifeSaver water purifying or possibly decontaminating personal water bottle.
I remember many years ago watching this product promoted through tv science shows and then to evolve. All the while I considered the justification of purchase far beyond by finances. I told many people to consider it and not to take my word for how brilliant I believed - but to try for themselves. Nobody was disappointed.
I bought one as a treat to myself and I justified the cost simply with 'I deserve to have one'.
I did a taste test with tap water. I live in a very hard water area - my supplier is Thames Water...anyway I used my two home filter systems and my new hero and compared results. It was a hands down win.
The LifeSavered water tastes like mineral water, it doesn't have the chemical bouquet and/or the unpalatable taste.
I was actually right all along but never had the courage of my convictions...til now.

Excellent product

Bullet proof way to start a fire

Have you been in a situation where you need to start a fire quickly? I have.
My No.1 choice would always be to use a cigarette lighter, that's a no-brainer. But what if it's wet or your lighter is empty? Then you're going to need a spark and some dry tinder. You can go on Youtube and see the videos for yourself (I particularly like Greg Ovens Bushcraft). The beauty of Ferro Steel is that it works when it's wet. You've got to scrape off the top black layer on this first. Then you get a really strong and hot spark. Tested on a cotton wool ball - tick. A cotton wool ball soaked in Vaseline will be even better. However I live in the UK so wish me luck in getting dry firewood!

Seems well designed and sturdy

I hope I never have to use it! However, a few years ago I had my water supply cut off for 5 days and my supplier (Anglian Water) were absolutely useless and just denied responsibility and provided zero support. I'm not giving it 5* because it doesn't have a scavenging hose and you have to fill the bottle manually. That means a 5 mile cycle or hike for me to the nearest river. However I've also bought the Liberty, which does have a scavenging hose, so I hope I've covered both bases : long life and versatility.

Seems well designed

As a budding Prepper this seems like a very well designed and useful piece of kit and easy to use. The scavenging hose might be very useful as the water sources close to me (within a mile) aren't all that accessible: I don't really want to have to climb over a barbed wire fence, climb into a ditch or fight my way through brambles to fill my water bottle.
